Born in Mexico, I have always been interested in Latin American music and folklore. Whilst living in Paris in 1983 surrounded by an argentinian community, I started listening to tango, with special interest on lyrics and literature. In "Lunfardo" Specially Evaristo Carriego. It was until 2004 when I discovered a passion for dancing tango, and I set about taking classes, working with milonga organisers and DJs, accommodating visiting teachers from Argentina, organising workshops for them, and reading about the history of tango, its orchestras and composers.
In 2007, I started DJing in Paris milongas and 2008 I opened my tango school. In 2009, after organising a beginners' course and a tango performance (Dancers, with orchestra and a Milonga) in Montmorency, my tango school was born in that north suburbs of Paris. We moved to Enghien-les-Bains (12 km North of Paris and only 10 minutes from Gare du Nord) in 2011, where we continue to promote tango and tango culture, taking care to pass on the musical knowledge, history and codes with an immense respect for tango as Argentine cultural heritage.
In 2009, I was transformed by my first month in Buenos Aires. My music repertoire doubled. On a second trip in 2010, I realised that the Salon Tango style and the music of the 1940's was what I loved the most.
I continue to study with my chosen maestros (Andrea Reyeiro and Sebastian Missé, Orlando "Coco" Diaz, amongst others...), to DJ'ing, and to organise milongas that promote elegance, good circulation of the dance floor and the development of Salon Tango of the highest quality.
