Veronica Toumanova
Born and raised in Moscow, where I studied fine arts, I moved to Western Europe at a young age and started dancing tango in 2000 while living in The Netherlands. I have been actively teaching and performing tango since 2007, but my background also includes graphic and interface design, literature, ballet, yoga and modern dance.
Since 2007 I have been living in Paris, where I am a co-founder and teacher at Tango Mon Amour. During this time I have been working with various partners, teaching and performing in France, Sweden, Norway, UK, Italy, The Netherlands, Cyprus, Greece, Germany, Czech Republic, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, USA and Canada.
I am passionate about movement, dance, psychology, spirituality and the anatomical knowledge of the body. In 2013 I started writing essays about various complex phenomena that I observed in my practice of Argentine tango, publishing them on my blog. All my writings are freely available on my website verotango.com and many of them have been translated into other languages by enthusiastic volunteers.
